Founded in 2009, Reckless Ericka is a fashion company comprising of a design studio and retail store (The Reckless Shop).
The Reckless Ericka business comprises five divisions: menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, luxe jersey line (Reckless Jersey).
The collections are currently selling in 9 stores including major department stores Robinsons, Tangs, and Isetan; and The Reckless Shop in Singapore.
The Reckless Shop first opened in June 2010 at Stamford House, and then at Orchard Central in December 2010. In 2011, we opened our 3rd boutique at Vivocity.
In 2015, The Reckless Shop re-located to Capitol Piazza.
In May 2009, Reckless Ericka debut with a fashion show at Audi Singapore Fashion Festival, BLUEPRINT featuring Blackmarket. The event was held alongside fashion bigwigs Vivienne Westwood, Christian Lacroix and Gareth Pugh.
In 2011, Reckless Ericka was picked to showcase at Singapore Men’s Fashion Week in the Singapore Designers’ Showcase. In 2012, Reckless Ericka presented their 1st solo unisex showcase with 40 models at Singapore Men’s Fashion Week 2012. In 2013, Reckless Ericka was chosen to represent Singapore in styleXstyle’s ASIA STYLE COLLECTION 2013, a celebration of Asian pop culture, combining fashion and music in an amazing one-day extravaganza.
In 2015, Singapore International Festival of Arts commissioned Reckless Ericka for the production, “The Incredible Adventures of Border Crossers”. We designed 148 unique costumes for 22 performers, for the amazing production that debut on 26th–27th March 2015, Palais de Tokyo (13 avenue du Président Wilson, 75016 PARIS), as part of the opening of Singapour en France – le Festival at Palais de Tokyo in Paris, France. Directed by Ong Keng Sen, the performance forged in collaboration with creative talents specialising in design, photography, video and sound (Chris Lee of Asylum, Reckless Ericka, Francis Ng, Brian Gothong Tan, Kaffe Matthews). The sold out performance was held at the National Museum of Singapore, at a later date on 17th–19th September 2015.
We won Best Costume at M1-The Straits Times LIFE! Theatre Awards 2016 for our work in this production.
Reckless Ericka has been featured in numerous publications. Singapore’s national paper The Straits Times ranked Reckless Ericka as “Top 50 Faces to Watch in 2010”, while The Wall Street Journal Asia dubbed us as “one of the biggest Asian draws”(April 2011), and was picked by Men’s UNO International (March 2014) featured spread.
